Nomos Glashütte

Since its founding by Roland Schwertner in 1990, NOMOS Glashütte has grown to become Germany’s largest producer of mechanical timepieces. No other firm makes more watches than this one. Maybe it’s because they have so many unique qualities. Exclusively creating and manufacturing its own calibers, NOMOS Glashütte manufactures each and every timepiece on-site, in-house, in Glashütte.

Additionally, practically everything is handmade. Building the best watches needs a lot of care, including milling plates, bridges, and wheels, bluing screws, beveling edges, and finely adjusting calibers. The tempered blue balance spring, used in the NOMOS swing system, is distinctive in the world of fine watches.
